MO­GADISHU // The pres­i­dent of So­ma­lia re­ceived Sheikh Ab­dul­lah bin Za­yed, For­eign Min­is­ter, and other UAE of­fi­cials on Sun­day.

The two sides dis­cussed co­op­er­a­tion, pro­mot­ing re­la­tions and hu­man­i­tar­ian and de­vel­op­ment pro­jects car­ried out by the UAE in So­ma­lia in the ar­eas of se­cu­rity, health care and ser­vices.

Sheikh Ab­dul­lah con­veyed to So­mali Pres­i­dent Has­san Sheikh Mo­hamud the greet­ings of Sheikh Khal­ifa, UAE pres­i­dent, Sheikh Mo­hammed bin Rashid, Vice Pres­i­dent and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mo­hammed bin Za­yed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Com­man­der of the Armed Forces, and their best wishes for sta­bil­ity, progress and pros­per­ity for So­ma­lia.

Pres­i­dent Mo­hamud said en­hanc­ing re­la­tions with the UAE is a pri­or­ity for his gov­ern­ment.

Reem Al Hashemy, Min­is­ter of State, and Mo­hammed Al Ham­madi, UAE Am­bas­sador to So­ma­lia, at­tended the meet­ing, along with So­mali of­fi­cials from sec­tors in­clud­ing for­eign af­fairs, trans­port, fi­nance, na­tional se­cu­rity, ed­u­ca­tion, health and in­tel­li­gence.
